MERRY HO! HO!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, it's Christmas once again ! I hope you had a wonderful day! The excitement level was high at our house as we tucked the girls into bed Christmas Eve. As well as being pumped up about Christmas, they were on a sugar high already from all the treats we had at home after the candlelight service at church. Morning only came at 7:30am and the girls checked out their stockings and were happy with what they found. Only once the coffee was on and poured was it morning for Bob and I! haha It's so fun to watch the girls wait with excitement and anticipation as we take turn's opening gifts. Everything was a great success and everyone was thrilled with their 'loot'!Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas cards???

Have you ever recieved a christmas card from someone you didn't know? At first I thought it must be a friend of Bobs. I read the christmas letter which even had a person note written at the bottom, a family picture was sent and everything! I double checked the address and sure enough it was to us. When I asked Bob, he didn't have a clue and was amused as was I. This is truly a first for us. So somewhere out there a christmas greeting has been sent- and maybe one day we'll meet them! Merry Christmas friends!

NINE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!

Yes, it's coming up fast here and I wanted to share how we're preparing for the big day! Tonite we drove around and looked at Christmas lights- 'Candy Cane Lane' is a highlight here in this city and it's just down the street from us. It was -15 and $160 for the horse and carriage ride, which we had to pass up, much to our daughters disappointment! Well, we came back and pulled out the eggnog and the gingerbread house kit while listening to "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" and " I farted on Santa's lap". Sadly we've heard these songs so many times that we were all singing along!(Bob denies it!) Ahhhh, the memories we are making with our children!!

Christmas Card Pics!

If you're in my address book, this is the family pic you'll be getting with your Christmas card this year! It turned out great and everyone was smiling! Yeah!Wow, only 20 days till Christmas! We've got tons of snow and the girls are enjoying playing in it, even the oldest!haha We took the girls to the movie 'Nativity' over the weekend and it was fabulous. The girls were thrilled with their very own 'Happy Feet' popcorn buckets! The movie is a real must see for everyone (though little eyes might find some parts scary, Beth did!) It was a great reminder of what Mary and Joseph might have been like, their culture and everything they must have gone through bringing Jesus into this world! Enjoy all your preparations for Christmas- this year only happens once!
